The new Impreza offers up to 100.9 cubic feet of passenger volume in the Impreza hatchback, compared to 94 cubic feet in the Cruze.

The new Impreza offers an optional manual transmission to give you greater control of your performance. The Cruze doesn't offer a manual transmission.

All Impreza models come with an Eyesight Driver Assist Technology system, providing you with pre-collision braking and other safety features on every model. In the Cruze, you'll have to step up to the Premier trim to get automatic emergency braking.

Subaru Legacy vs. Chevy Malibu

All Legacy models come with standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, compared to front-wheel drive in every Malibu model.

The Legacy offers more horsepower than the Malibu does, with a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 182-horsepower compared to a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 160-horsepower in the Malibu.

All Legacy models come with Eyesight Driver Assist Technology, offering pre-collision braking, lane keep assist, and more. For comparable safety options, you'll have to upgrade to a higher trim level in the Malibu.

Subaru Crosstrek vs. Chevy Trax

All Crosstrek models come with standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, while Trax models come with standard front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive equipped models will cost more.

The Crosstrek comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 152-horsepower, compared to the 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 138-horsepower in the Trax.

When equipped with a continuously variable automatic transmission, all Crosstrek models come with the Eyesight system, featuring pre-collision braking and adaptive cruise control. The Trax only offers comparable safety features on higher trim levels.

Subaru Forester vs. Chevy Equinox

The Forester comes with a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 182-horsepower. The Equinox comes with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 170-horsepower.

The Forester offers up to 76.1 cubic feet of cargo space, while the Equinox falls short with 63.9 cubic feet.

Subaru Outback vs. Chevy Traverse

The new Outback starts at just over $26,500 while the Traverse starts at just shy of $30,000.

All Outback models come with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. The Traverse comes with standard front-wheel drive, and all-wheel drive models will cost extra.
